Join Team as Construction Begins on Rebuilding of Public Elementary School in Earthquake Devastated City of Jacmel

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 24, 2010)—International disaster relief agency Operation USA today released designs donated by the renowned design and planning firm Gensler for the rebuilding of a primary school in Jacmel, Haiti that was completely destroyed in the January earthquake that devastated much of the country. Operation USA has committed to rebuilding Ecole Nationale Jacob Martin Henriquez—a public school that will be home to 400 students K-7 who could not otherwise afford to go to school.

THIS QUAKE, REMINICENT OF THE 1960 Quake there (largest ever recorded), boggles the imagination. Will the World gear up for Chile, as they have for Haiti? What is your take???

7.0 is huge, and when it occurs in a populated area like this, it is deadly. OPERATION USA is the absolute best agency to deal with this disaster. A top ten charity again this year, http://www.opusa.com is the group to donate to if you want to help these people. Fiji Quakes kicking up Tsunamis

The recent activity in Fiji and Polynesia has been extremely troublesome for area islands in an attempt to get their Tsunami warning networks up. New technologies should make these islands, and the West Coast of the US much safer. Are you feeling any safer???
